The chocolate part of the batter, raw, is one of the most decadent things I've eaten lately. I licked that bowl completely clean. The chocolate part is quite rich, but it works beautifully when marbled like this, which prevents it from being overwhelming.
I had friends over while the cake was in the oven - the whole house smelt incredible, chocolate / banana / spices.
As always when baking a delicious cake for visitors, it can be hard to snap a photo of it sliced before, poof, it is all gone!
Zachary will start solids - Baby Led Weaning (BLW) of course, same as Tabitha - in about 4 weeks. Meanwhile, we pop him into a high chair at the table while we eat, and he chomps on his toys while we eat. He is certainly interested in food, and watches me like a hawk while I eat, but he hasn't been as eager as Tabitha, who was literally snatching food out of my hands, intercepting spoons and forks en route to my mouth, and trying to stuff them into her mouth. Zach, I think, will be more than happy to wait until the recommended 6 months.
Takeaway sushi from our excellent local sushi bar, owned and run by a Japanese couple:
I am obsessed with tamagoyaki. Have been all my life. I think it's time to buy a tamagoyaki pan and get cooking!
Zach thinks his dolly is pretty yummy:
Oh and I have been finding our Itti Bitti d'List All-in-One nappies (which I adored with Tabitha) to be a bit leaky with Zach. They seem to leak out the top front. I don't know if it's because he's a boy, or because he is constantly on his belly (just started crawling this week - just on 5 months, crazy!) or if I need to try the Larges already. Meanwhile, I've bought a Pikapu to try out - I'll let you know how they go.
Any other recommendations for good MCNs for boys? I don't like pockets and multiple parts, I like the all-in-one sort.

I prefer the itti's for my DD but we do have a few baby beehind magic all's which you have the option of using the pocket to stuff and make the nappy extra absorbent, so still an all in one. I use the beehinds at nap time. All our other nappies are pockets :-)
Hello! I'm a big fan of your blog, lovely to read about the adventures of a fellow gentle parent and foodie.
Have you tried Baby Beehinds? I mainly used the pocket ones for my little guy but had a few all in ones too and found them very reliable and (most importantly) a great range of colours ;)
Thanks berrin, I like the idea of an all-in-one with the option to stuff more.
Hi Ally, thanks so much! I've had a few recs for the BBH now so yes time to try them out I think!
