For some reason, Tabitha loves to nibble and gnaw on a lime, as if it were an apple. She must like the subtle lime zest flavour - she is quite zealous about it, and will hurriedly crawl over to it if it rolls away.
Can you see Tabitha's sneaky friend (partner in crime) in the background? They are a funny little pair, peas in a pod - they seem to do things together, sitting and playing together, cuddling together (even when poor Possum is getting mauled, he seems to handle it with good grace). Possum even brings her toy mice, dropping them in her lap, for her to chew on (eeeeewwwwwww!!!). I spend my day trying to stop that.
Tabitha has been pulling herself up and standing up for well over a month now, but she has suddenly become obsessed with getting up and down - she will pull herself up, then carefully squat down. Repeat x 100! She must be developing killer leg muscles.
We made date scones and took them to visit our friends Marilyn and Jill at the Wondoflex Wool Shop in Malvern - I take scones, and in return, Jill fixes up any knitting mistakes I've made, or helps me with tricky patterns. It's a lovely way to spend a morning or afternoon - Tabitha potters around, looking at all the wool, while I sit in the comfy armchair drinking tea, eating scones, and knitting.
For lunch today, Tabitha and I had roast chicken and some roast vegetables (zucchini, green capsicum, carrot and potato). She loved that roast chicken - I actually have never seen her eat so efficiently and effectively as today. She picked up and nibbled all of her chicken, and a decent piece of each vegetable. All in all, quite a bit of food, with significantly less 'mush and wastage' than in the past. Watching her eating skills improve so rapidly just blows me away - I spent all of lunch just grinning and laughing at her, which she in turn found hilarious, of course.
